Hoy os traigo un tutorial que hice allá por el 2011. Así que veréis que los colores se presentan en este formato: Scorched Brown (Rhinox Hide).
El primero es el color original que usé y el color entre paréntesis la equivalencia a la nueva gama.

Como sabréis...
En el mundo de warhammer es fácil encontrarse con personajes con
capa, túnica, tabardo,... no hay mucho secreto, es suficiente con un
pincel, ganas y algo de tiempo, y tampoco hace falta mucho.
A continuación veremos un tutorial de como en 5 sencillos pasos
tendremos una capa mediante un degradado con 2 colores y un lavado de tinta.

Paso1 / Step 1
Para el tutorial he elegido un Guerrero del Caos, que tienen una capa bien grande y genial para practicar.
Primero imprimamos la miniatura según el color del cuál vayamos a
pintar la capa. Si vas a usar colores brillantes, la imprimaremos
blanco, si no, negro; como los adeptos del Caos son sombríos,
lo he imprimado negro y usaré marrones para pintar.

For the tutorial I've chosen a Chaos Warrior, which have a big cloak, awesome to practise.
First we have to prime according to the colour we're going to paint the cloak. If you want to paint it with a light colour, it's better to prime it with white, if we're going to use a dark one, we'll prime in black. As the Chaos servants are a bit dark... I used Black Chaos, and I will use a palet of browns to paint it.

For the tutorial I've chosen a Chaos Warrior, which have a big cloak, awesome to practise.
First we have to prime according to the colour we're going to paint the cloak. If you want to paint it with a light colour, it's better to prime it with white, if we're going to use a dark one, we'll prime in black. As the Chaos servants are a bit dark... I used Black Chaos, and I will use a palet of browns to paint it.
Paso 2 / Step 2
El segundo paso es muy sencillo, solo tienes que pintar la superficie de la capa. Yo he usado scorched brown (Rhinox Hide) para la capa base.

Paso 3 / Step 3
Para el tercer paso necesitaremos una tinta. Como el scorched brown (Rhinox Hide) es un color muy oscuro, en lugar de usar una tinta marrón, he usado la tinta badab
black (Nuln Oil).
Aplícala solo en las zonas más hondas de los pliegues y justo debajo de los pelos de encima de las hombreras.
Lograremos así sombrear mediante un lavado.

For the third step we'll need a wash. As scorched brown (Rhinox Hide) is a very dark colour, I used Badab Black (Nuln Oil) instead of a brown wash.
You have to apply it only in the recesses, and between the cloak and the fur.
Congratulations! you have shaded using a wash (shade).

For the third step we'll need a wash. As scorched brown (Rhinox Hide) is a very dark colour, I used Badab Black (Nuln Oil) instead of a brown wash.

Pasamos ya al degradado.
Mezclamos scorched brown (Rhinox Hide) y snakebite leather (Balor Brown)* en proporción de 1:1 y aplicamos la mezcla a las zonas con más relieve de la capa.
No hay que tapar por completo la capa base, ya que perderíamos profundidad.

Now we're going to highlight the cloak.
You have to mix 1 part of scorched brown (Rhinox Hide) and 1 part of Snakebite Leather (Balor Brown)* and paint the first highlight.
You must not paint the recesses because you would make the 2nd step useless...

Paso 5 / Step 5
Por último, mezclamos los colores anteriores en proporción, esta
vez, de 1:2 y remarcamos con línias los puntos de más relieve.
Con ésto conseguiremos un "punto" de iluminación que queda muy realista.
Y ya tenemos la capa acabada, esta vez he usado colores marrones
para darle un aspecto de cuero, pero no hay que pararse a una sola gama
de colores.
La siguiente foto es de otro Guerrero del Caos, solo que esta vez, lo he pintado con los colores de Tzeench.

In the last step, you have to mix the same colors but, this time, in a poportion of 1:2. And only paint the edges.

So... you have finished the cloak. This time I have used brown tones to give it a leather appearance. But you shouldn't use only one colour tones.
The next photo is another Chaos Warrior, but this time I have painted it with "blue Tzeentch tones".
Se le han dado más capas al degradado, como también se puede hacer con la capa de cuero, dando otra capa con snakebite leather (Balor Brown)* puro. Incluso le puedes dar una luz extrema si
mezclas snakebite leather (Balor Brown) y bleached bone (Ushabti Bone) a partes iguales y resaltas con finas líneas las 3-4 zonas de más relieve.
Y no solo los Guerreros del Caos llevan capa. Tanto héroes como
villanos llevan capas, tabardos, túnicas,... (¡¡ Incluso en el 41
milenio !!) y algunos las llevan con sencillos motivos de
decoración, mientras que otros las llevan con unos diseños más
elaborados.
A continuación os dejo un ejemplo de lo que puedes llegar a conseguir con la paciencia adecuada.
